Welcome to my Almo Nature cat litter review. I sometimes spend my days advising people on cat toilets. Yes. you read that correctly! When I visit a cat guardian’s home I am always eager to see the litter tray and cat litter they have chosen to use. Why? I had been looking for a soft sand like litter substrate for some time so when, at a recent National Pet Show at NEC in Birmingham, I came across a new litter by Almo Nature, I was curious and very interested. It took me seconds to realise the Almo Nature CatLitter was the softest litter on the market to date and that my search had come to an end.

My wait is finally over. The new Almo Nature CatLitter gets 5 outta 5 stars from me and is the softest cat-friendly litter I have ever found. I will be highly recommending this cat litter to all of my clients and have switched to this for my own two cats who are very very happy cats indeed.

Renegade: No way… I am cute and cuddly and none of the above. But anyway… don’t distract me from important messages. ;p
Renegade: Both my sister and eye tend to get dirt and sleeping dust crust around eyes. Now to most this may seem like a minor thing BUT if left to build up could potentially cause blocked tear glands which may lead to the development of eye infections.
Nubia: *Shudders* Yes I had one of those last year… and it was no fun at all… the vet made them put in eyedrops for a week. 🙁
Renegade: And that’s precisely why prevention can be better than having to treat something like that on!
Renegade: So one of the solutions we’ve found for this is the Frontline Petcare Eye Cleaner which can be safely used to remove debris and stains from around our eyes. Our humans obtained this one from Animed Direct.
Renegade: Your humans just need to apply a bit of the solution to a make-up removal pad or similar. As the solution mimics the natural composition of our tears there is no need to worry about it getting a bit of it in our eyes tho your humans should clean simply around the eyes!
Renegade: Waaaaaaah! I didn’t volunteer for this part of the review! Sister help!
Nubia: No chance… I’ll see if you survive it and if you do I may let them do mine. ;p
Renegade: So I did actually survive this ordeal (fine it wasn’t that bad… I just like to complaint about cleaning!) And if I get a chin scratch or two at the end of it… that is 10 times better! <3
Renegade: In fact a great tip to give to your humans is to ensure that any necessary treatment or cleaning comes hand in hand with a little reward at the end so that we associate that annoying task with a nice reward such as a treat or in my case a chin scratch. 😀
Nubia: What! No not me! Let me check you out first to see if it’s worth my time to get it done. 😛
Nubia: Hmmmm…. Well your eyes do look MUCH cleaner now…
Renegade: Well… I told you I am the prettiest cat out there and now my white fur around the eyes is prestine clean. 😀

Nubia: I suppose at least it’s not as bad as the eye drops I used to get…
Nubia: Fine fine you are right it feels much cleaner now.
Renegade: Ah see the pad in the humans hand? The slightly darker area is the smudgy stuff that came of my sister!
Nubia: Hmmmm that’s more than I expected there to be for me. o.o
Renegade: Precisely why the humans thought this was an excellent prevent issue to combat possible blocked tear glands and eye infections from bacteria. See my sister won’t admit it that she struggles a bit in the litter box with her three paws and ends up getting litter dust all over her face… So this cleaning solution is great to quickly get it off her face.
Nubia: Since you gave away my well kept secret don’t forget that they need to use it on you even more as your big eyes quite often produce sleeping dust and gunk around them and the vet said this often happens to Orientals but is nothing to worry about. So you need to use it more than I. ;p

I follow Katzenworld the one place on the internet that’s all about cats. One Morning I was reading a post from here and I noticed an interesting giveaway. It was for the BendiBrush. It’s Nubia here today! Can you believe that my humans have accused me of continuously attacking THEIR furniture and the carpet? Do they not know that ALL the stuff in the flat belongs to their QUEEN – ME?!?
Nubia: They got this new stuff called Feliscratch from Animed direct and they really believe that I am going to fall for it…

It’s Nubia here today and we’ve sure got a story to tell you! Were you able to guess from our feature image what it is?!? No? Well don’t worry all shall become clear!
Nubia: So when this arrived I really thought our humans were going to send us off to space…
Nubia: Or that it is some kind of teleporter! 😀
Oliver: But it was far far better than that…
Nubia: Indeed! It was an automatic self cleaning toilet called the Litter-Robot III Open Air so that I would never ever have to step on my brothers smelly poop ever again!
Oliver: What are you trying to imply…
Nubia: Our humans set this up in the kitchen and we’ve been trialling it for the last 6 months to make sure that it truly works before we show it to you all!
Oliver: And it certainly does… it’s nice and big but not too big for me to feel scared.
Nubia: Best of all the ledge stops most tracking of stuff that my brother might carry into the living room over wise… LOL
Nubia: As you can see Oli went for his business… and as usual… didn’t cover up his poop…
Oliver: Hey now!!! You didn’t have to show them this!
Nubia: Yes I did. Because an important aspect of this is that especially in multi cat households it makes it much more comfortable for the other cats as they won’t have to step into the previous cats’ mess…
Oliver: Fine… fine… 🙁
Nubia: It was very easy to assemble when it first arrived. Even though I am not sure if our servants had quite the right idea. ;o
Oliver: Oh and did we mention the controls?
Oliver: It’s got a handy indicator to alert you if it’s full or if there is any problem! And emptying it for occasional deep clean is easy with the empty button. 😀
Nubia: My personal favourite is the night light…
Nubia: Yes in the dark it’ll light up blue to make it easier for me to find the loo. 😀
Oliver: Both of us give this four paws up! And our humans say it’s worth a high five to the developers whatever that means because they’ve got no five hands?

Oliver: While the litter robot may seem expensive at first glance our humans think it’s well worth the investment for multiple factors:
Convenience – no longer do they have to scoop multiple times a day!
Peace in multi cat households – Other cats don’t get annoyed over the mess of the first cat
Reduction of litter boxes – We now have this one and a backup tray instead of three trays and 99% of the time we use our litter robot
Save money on litter – Let’s face it the robot is much more efficient at removing clumps than humans will ever be! They are after all a bit clumsy… Our humans think that we use about a third less to half less litter with the robot depending on which litter we use and how well it clumps.
