Some of you may know that my partner and I are big Scify fans and of course, Star Wars is one of our favourites.
So on today’s “Star Wars Day,” a fan holiday that celebrates the Star Wars media franchise and its fanbase we simply couldn’t resist sharing this fan comic from The (inter)mission: Cat Wars – The Meow Awakens.
For those that don’t know where the phrase comes from, it’s a pun on the name of the date May 4th (May the fourth) and the famous phrase from the franchise, “May the Force be with you.”
While we’ve not had a chance to create a new cartoon strip with our now 5 cats big clowders our little ones thought it would still be worth to re-iterate our Christmas message! 🙂
As much as we all enjoy the festive season, sadly not all felines and humans have it as good as we do and that’s why our four would like to encourage everyone to share what they have with others.
Once again from our shop we have made a sizable amount of cat toy donations to charities this year in order to support charities that help to provide the so much needed services in rehoming pets without homes.
We are backfor another blast from the past of The amazing adventures of Oliver & Nubia! Well as of this strip it’s actually the Adventures of Oliver, Nubia & Renegade. : )
Previous post on Renegade’s arrival:
A new Cat is in The House!
As most of you probably know we adopted little Rennie last year and he has nicely settled in with Oliver & Nubia. This cartoon is all about the interactions when he first arrived.
Want to read more about Renegade’s arrival? Check out this post:
We are back for another blast from the past of the amazing adventures of Oliver & Nubia!
As promised a few weeks back we are back with the continuation of the space odyssey of Oliver.
As expected being hailed as a god by the moon mice eventually became boring for his Meowjesty King Oliver so he had to find a way to get back home to earth.
But on the other hand… this was of course the purrfect chance to usurp her royal highness Queen Nubia! An army of obeying mice? Surely they can be used more efficiently than just to collect food…! ; )
Sorry Oliver but it appears your sister has beaten you once again haha.
We are back for another blast from the past of the adventures of Oliver & Nubia!
Many of you have been emailing and messaging us on Social Media to find out what happened to his Meowjesty King Oliver after he crashed on the moon in his spaceship toilet.
Today we are back for this mystery! ; )
Will Oliver make it back to earth?
And can Nubia survive her ordeal having to use the regular cat litter box?
We are back another blast from the past of the amazing adventures of Oliver & Nubia!
As some of you may have noticed in the last few months most of the toy reviews have been done by Nubia. So what’s going on?
Well according to Nubia her brother got rather lazy and will only come out for certain types of reviews… What’s happening can be seen in the cute comic strip below. 😉
I am sure you all would be equally unhappy with your sibling if he only came out for food. 😉
Ten abandoned cats live in an old warehouse where they are looked after by a young girl named Annie. The cats include Chesney, the ginger ringleader, his b&w sidekick Jack – still on the lam from the shelter – and wide-eyed grey kitten Oliver, the irascible Lily, CFO Mr. Hollingsworth, and more…. Unbeknownst to Annie, the cats are involved in various revenue-generating schemes such as radio station K-ATZ, a gambling den for dogs (no dogs allowed), Cats’ Inn, and a plot to force birds to buy pilots’ licenses…. The warehouse has a secret boardroom on the very top floor where the world’s business is conducted under the auspices of the moggies.
You can sign up to receive TEN CATS every day in your inbox – It’s Free, It’s Fresh and It’s all-Feline!! You can sign up here: https://www.gocomics.com/ten-cats or see the TEN CATS collections on Amazon.
Graham Harrop draws the award-winning, daily online comic strip and is also a Vancouver Sun editorial cartoonist. His cartoon feature BackBench ran daily in The Globe and Mail for more than two decades. His cartoon collections have been published by HarperCollins, Ronsdale Press and Gryndstone & Fusspot Press. Graham also creates the little “inklings’ daily calendar at https://grahamharropcartoons.com/
“Let you in on a little secret. I’m Annie, from the comic strip. Not many people know that, outside of family and – well – the now-famous warehouse. Of course, I’m all grown up now, no longer the little girl who looks after the ten needy cartoon kitties…. But the cats are mostly very real and current.
Chesney is very real – family name of Magellan after the intrepid explorer. The real Jack is in fact also a ginger. He became black and white to bypass any identity challenges. Oliver is Oliver – exactly! He never arrives in the room without an exclamation point right behind him! Lily is actually an elderly calico named Jade, and may not be talked about except in reverential tones, so none of that here. Sadly, dear little JellyBean and Bluebell (my beautiful white Bond) have passed on, and so I couldn’t get a waiver to show their photos. But here are some of the others from the silent Woof to the Chairman of the Board, the one and only Chesney J. Puddifoot. My hero. – Annie B.

Some cats really love to explore the area around where they live and often bring back little souvenirs for their owners. If you’re lucky, it could just be discarded toy or slipper presented as a trophy won after a night of prowling around the neighbourhood. If you’re not so lucky it might be something that’s still alive as you feline friends drops it on your duvet.
EditEdit date and time
Since domestic cats’s wild ancestors were nocturnal, some felines want to scamper out the catflap for some fun just as you’re thinking of heading to bed. But your pet being out all night can be a big worry. There are a number of dangers to be avoided including busy roads, cruel humans and wild animals as well as other cats protecting their territories. It can be difficult to get your feline to come and go to suit your routine. And what if they don’t come home? What if they can’t get back because they’re stuck somewhere?
Allowing your cat access to the outside is a decision for individual owners to make after weighing up the pros and cons. There is way to allow your cat to follow their natural desire to be outside and explore all the interesting sights and smells but keep them safe at the same time. If you have a garden, outside space or even a balcony this can be used to allow your pet with an area to be part of nature rather than looking through a closed window. ProtectaPet have years of experience providing solutions which allow your cat safe access to the outside world- when your cat wants it.
